China's General Administration of Customs on Thursday said that the country exported 1.27 million tons of coal in June, up 11.4% from the same month of last year.
Last month, China's coal export value hit US$188 million and the average price was US$147.8 per ton, up 48.1% year on year, according to the customs.
In the first half of this year, China's coal exports were 10.14 million tons, 13.1% less than in the same period of last year. Export value totaled US$1.05 billion down 26.8% and the average price dropped 15.8% year on year to US$103.3 per ton.
Last month, China's coke exports were 560,000 tons. During the period from January to June, China exported 1.4 million tons of coke and semi-coke, significantly surging from the 230,000 tons recorded in the same period of 2009.
